Closures needed for ongoing bridge girder installation

UPDATE (Dec.19, 2024): The below lane closures, ramp closure and detour will also be in place tonight, Thursday, Dec. 19 and tomorrow night, Friday, Dec. 20, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.

FAIRFAX, VA - Crews are scheduled to continue installation of bridge girders adjacent to northbound I-495 (Capital Beltway) at the Dulles Corridor Interchange for the first span of a new express lanes ramp that will connect the Dulles Toll Road to northbound 495 Express Lanes. This work and closures are scheduled during overnight hours, Monday, Dec. 16 through Wednesday, Dec. 18, between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Closures needed for bridge girder installation

FAIRFAX, VA - Crews are scheduled to install 10 bridge girders adjacent to northbound I-495 (Capital Beltway) at the Dulles Corridor Interchange for the first span of a new express lanes ramp that will connect the Dulles Toll Road to northbound 495 Express Lanes. This work will require the following lane and ramp closures during overnight hours beginning Monday, Dec. 9 through Friday, Dec. 13 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m...

Motorists should follow posted detour and expect delays; Double lane closures on northbound I-495 scheduled concurrently

FAIRFAX, VA - Starting the night of Monday, December 2, 495 NEXT project crews will be conducting bridge girder work over northbound I-495 at the Dulles Corridor Interchange to prepare for the construction of a new I-495 Express Lanes ramp. This work will require the ramp from eastbound Dulles Toll Road/Airport Access Highway (Route 267) to northbound I-495 (Capital Beltway) to close during overnight hours on weeknights through late January. Double lane closures on northbound I-495 between Route 7 and Lewinsville Road will also be in place for this work.
