Closures and stoppages necessary for Georgetown Pike Bridge demolition work

FAIRFAX, VA - Beginning on Monday, Sept. 16, and continuing through September, there will be overnight multi-lane closures and periodic total traffic stoppages on north- and southbound I-495 (Capital Beltway) in the vicinity of Georgetown Pike in McLean. Triple lane closures will be in place Monday through Saturday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., with periodic traffic stoppages of up to 30 minutes each between midnight and 5 a.m.

Crews conducting overhead sign work for 495 NEXT project

FAIRFAX, VA - The exit ramp from the eastbound Dulles Toll Road to the southbound 495 Express Lanes will be closed weeknights starting Monday, Sept. 16, through Friday, Oct. 18, for overhead sign work. The ramp closure will take place Mondays through Fridays, nightly from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following morning. This work is part of the I-495 Express Lanes Northern Extension (495 NEXT) project.

Crews conducting bridge overhang work for 495 NEXT project

FAIRFAX, VA - The exit ramp from southbound I-495 to eastbound Dulles Toll Road (Exit 45B) will be closed nightly starting tonight, Wednesday, Sept. 4, through Friday, Sept. 6. This closure will allow for crews to work on the overhangs for a new bridge that will cross over the Dulles International Airport Access Highway and eastbound Dulles Toll Road. The closure will occur nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. This work is part of the I-495 Express Lanes Northern Extension (495 NEXT) project.
