Lane Closures on North- and Southbound I-495 in Maryland Scheduled Monday, Feb. 17- Sunday, Feb. 23
495 NEXT Crews Performing Work for Overhead Signage and Setting Barriers and Attenuators
FAIRFAX, VA - There will be daytime single lane and mobile shoulder closures and nighttime single lane closures on north- and southbound I-495 (Capital Beltway) in Maryland between Cabin John Parkway and the American Legion Bridge beginning Monday, Feb. 17, through Sunday, Feb. 23. These closures are needed for Virginia’s 495 NEXT crews to install temporary signs and barrier, and conduct preparatory work for overhead sign structures, along this section of I-495 in Maryland.

Nightly Lane Closures and Traffic Stoppages Continue on Northbound I-495 in Virginia Monday, Feb. 17 Through March 1 for Bridge Work
Ramp Closed and Detoured Nightly at Eastbound Dulles Toll Road/Dulles Airport Access Highway to Northbound I-495
FAIRFAX, VA - Lane closures and intermittent traffic stoppages are scheduled to continue during overnight hours Monday, Feb. 17 through Saturday, March 1 on northbound I-495 (Capital Beltway) in Virginia between Route 7 and north of the Dulles Toll Road. The ramp from eastbound Dulles Toll Road/Airport Access Highway (Route 267) to northbound I-495 (Capital Beltway) will also be closed nightly during this timeframe. These closures and traffic stoppages are needed for crews to continue working on a new 495 Express Lanes ramp at the I-495 and Dulles Corridor Interchange.

Nightly Ramp Closure From Georgetown Pike to Southbound I-495 in Virginia Scheduled Sunday, Feb. 16 Through Feb. 28
Motorists should follow posted detour
FAIRFAX, VA - Beginning Sunday night, Feb. 16, and continuing nightly through Friday, Feb. 28, the ramp from Georgetown Pike to southbound I-495 in McLean will be closed. The ramp closure will occur nightly between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning, to allow crews to conduct noise wall work as part of the I-495 Express Lanes Northern Extension (495 NEXT) project.
