Affecting eastbound Dulles Toll Road/Airport Access Road to northbound I-495; Closure needed to set bridge beams

FAIRFAX, VA - The ramp from the eastbound Dulles Toll Road/Airport Access Road(Route 267) to northbound I-495 (Capital Beltway) is scheduled to close during overnight hours beginning on or about Wednesday, Nov. 8 through early morning,Monday, Nov. 20. These closures are necessary for crews to set beams for the eastern section of the new northbound I-495 bridge to general purpose lanes.

Motorists should follow posted detour

FAIRFAX, VA - The ramp from Georgetown Pike to I-495 South in McLean will be closed during nighttime hours for drainage work starting on or about Thursday night, Oct. 26 at 11 p.m. and continuing nightly through the weekend. This ramp closure will affect drivers traveling east- and westbound on Georgetown Pike headed for southbound I-495. Drivers should follow the signed detour, and plan extra time if traveling in this area.

Exits to George Washington Memorial Parkway and Georgetown Pike Will Remain Open

FAIRFAX, VA - Starting tonight at 8 p.m., and continuing for approximately 48 hours through the weekend, the right lane of the southbound I-495 collector-distributor road between George Washington Memorial Parkway (exit 43) and Georgetown Pike (exit 44) will be closed so crews can build a temporary ramp as part of the 495 NEXT Project. The left lane of the collector-distributor road, including the entry point (from George Washington Memorial Parkway to the southbound I-495 collector-distributor road), and both exits (exit 43 and 44) will remain open. The closure will be continuous from 8 p.m. Friday, October 20 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 22. The lane closure primarily will affect motorists traveling on southbound I-495 exiting at Georgetown Pike.
