Crews conducting overhead sign work for 495 NEXT project

FAIRFAX, VA - The exit ramp from the eastbound Dulles Toll Road to the I-495 South Express Lanes will be closed nightly starting tonight, Sept. 3, through Friday, Sept. 6, for overhead sign work. The closure will take place nightly from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following morning. This work is part of the I-495 Express Lanes Northern Extension (495 NEXT) project.

Crews conducting overnight demolition work at Live Oak Drive Bridge

FAIRFAX, VA - Triple lane closures and periodic total traffic stoppages on the Capital Beltway in the vicinity of Live Oak Drive (near MM 43.1) will resume tonight, Monday, Aug. 26, and continue nightly through Friday, Sept. 13. One lane in each direction will remain open, with full traffic stoppages of up to 30 minutes each occurring between midnight and 5 a.m. each night.

Major traffic impacts from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday

FAIRFAX, VA - Motorists are reminded that all travel lanes on the Georgetown Pike Bridge over I-495 in McLean are scheduled to be shifted to a new northern portion of the bridge this weekend, beginning tonight, Friday, Aug. 23, through Monday, Aug. 26. Travelers should avoid the Georgetown Pike and I-495 interchange area all weekend, as lanes will be reduced on Georgetown Pike and I-495 (Capital Beltway) ramps will be closed with detours in place.
