Crews conducting overhead sign work for 495 NEXT project

UPDATE (Sept. 3, 2024): The below ramp closure and detour has been postponed. This work will now begin on Monday, Sept. 16. and continue nightly through Friday, Sept. 20.

FAIRFAX, VA - The exit ramp from the eastbound Dulles Toll Road to the I-495 South Express Lanes will be closed nightly starting tonight, Sept. 3, through Friday, Sept. 6, for overhead sign work. The closure will take place nightly from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following morning. This work is part of the I-495 Express Lanes Northern Extension (495 NEXT) project.

Crews conducting overnight demolition work at Live Oak Drive Bridge

FAIRFAX, VA - Triple lane closures and periodic total traffic stoppages on the Capital Beltway in the vicinity of Live Oak Drive (near MM 43.1) will resume tonight, Monday, Aug. 26, and continue nightly through Friday, Sept. 13. One lane in each direction will remain open, with full traffic stoppages of up to 30 minutes each occurring between midnight and 5 a.m. each night.
