Motorists Asked to Follow Signed Detour Across the American Legion Bridge

FAIRFAX, VA - During overnight hours on Monday, Feb. 19, Tuesday, Feb. 20, Monday, Feb. 26 and Tuesday, Feb. 27, the on-ramp from George Washington Memorial Parkway to I-495 South will be closed for drainage work related to the 495 NEXT project. Motorists are asked to follow the signed detour. This ramp closure and detour will be in effect between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. on the dates listed above.

Closures necessary for drainage work and movement of equipment

FAIRFAX, VA - Starting on or about Wednesday night, Feb. 14, three lanes of northbound I-495 (Capital Beltway) between Dulles Toll Road and Georgetown Pike will be closed, with one northbound lane remaining open, for crews to perform drainage work. This closure will begin with one lane closing at approximately 9:30 p.m., followed by a second lane closing at 10 p.m. and a third lane closing at 11 p.m. All lanes are scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m.

Affecting eastbound Dulles Toll Road/Airport Access Road to northbound I-495; Closure needed to set bridge beams

FAIRFAX, VA - The ramp from the eastbound Dulles Toll Road/Airport Access Road(Route 267) to northbound I-495 (Capital Beltway) is scheduled to close during overnight hours beginning on or about Wednesday, Nov. 8 through early morning,Monday, Nov. 20. These closures are necessary for crews to set beams for the eastern section of the new northbound I-495 bridge to general purpose lanes.
