Nighttime Lane Closures on Northbound I-495 Near Route 123 (Exit 46) to Implement Traffic Shift onto New Bridge Planned for June 7

Nightly ramp closure and detour for eastbound Dulles Toll Road/Airport Access Road to northbound I-495 traffic needed for bridge demolition following traffic shift, planned for June 10 through 15

FAIRFAX, VA - On or about the night of Friday, June 7, 495 NEXT project crews will shift traffic onto a new I-495 North bridge over the eastbound Dulles Toll Road/Airport Access Road (Route 267) ramp. This work will involve closing two northbound I-495 lanes between just south of Exit 46B (North Route 123/Chain Bridge Road/McLean) and just south of Lewinsville Road from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. the next morning.

Overnight Lane Closures on I-495 in Virginia for Bridge Work Continues Tonight, Friday, May 3 and Overnights Next Week

Closures needed for bridge work at Live Oak Drive Bridge in McLean

FAIRFAX, VA - Crews are scheduled to continue work on bridge girders at the Live Oak Drive bridge over I-495 in McLean during overnight hours tonight, Friday, May 3, requiring triple lane closures in both directions on I-495 (Capital Beltway) approximately between Georgetown Pike, Exit 44 and George Washington Memorial Parkway, Exit 43. Intermittent traffic stoppages of up to 30 minutes each also will occur. Live Oak Drive bridge over I-495 is being rebuilt as part of the 495 Express Lanes Northern Extension (495 NEXT) project.

Nightly Closure of Eastbound Dulles Toll Road Approaching I-495 Scheduled Next Week, May 7-9

Motorists should follow posted detour routes to access I-495 North and South or continue on Dulles Toll Road

FAIRFAX, VA - Eastbound Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) approaching the I-495 interchange is scheduled to close during overnight hours Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week (May 7, 8 and 9). If needed due to weather, work and closures will occur Friday night, May 10. These closures will take place from 10 p.m. each evening to 5 a.m. each morning to allow crews to install and work on overhead roadway sign structures.
