Ramp closed and detoured nightly at eastbound Dulles Toll Road/Dulles Airport Access Highway to northbound I-495

FAIRFAX, VA - Lane closures and intermittent traffic stoppages are scheduled to resume during overnight hours Monday, April 7 through Wednesday, April 30 on northbound I-495 (Capital Beltway) in Virginia between Route 7 and north of the Dulles Toll Road. The ramp from eastbound Dulles Toll Road/Airport Access Highway (Route 267) to northbound I-495 (Capital Beltway) will also be closed nightly during this timeframe. These closures and traffic stoppages are needed for crews to continue working on a new 495 Express Lanes ramp at the I-495 and Dulles Corridor Interchange.

Closures needed for delivery and installation of bridge beams; Motorists should follow posted detours

FAIRFAX, VA - Beginning Thursday night, March 27, and continuing weeknights through April 17, the exit ramp from southbound I-495 (Capital Beltway Outer Loop) collector road to Georgetown Pike (Exit 44), and the on-ramp from northwest George Washington Memorial Parkway (GWMP) to southbound I-495 will be closed. Closures and detours will occur Monday through Friday, between the hours of 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Crews will be installing beams for new express lanes ramp connections at GWMP, as part of the I-495 Express Lanes Northern Extension (495 NEXT) project.

Motorists should follow posted detour

FAIRFAX, VA - The exit ramp from the southbound I-495 (Capital Beltway Outer Loop) collector road to Georgetown Pike (Exit 44) will be closed tonight, Thursday, March 20, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next morning. The ramp will be closed and detoured to allow crews to perform preparatory work, including setting concrete barrier, that is needed for upcoming bridge work as part of the I-495 Express Lanes Northern Extension (495 NEXT) project.
